Overview
The Education Department at Mon National College offers a wide range of education courses designed and delivered in close alignment with local, national and international standards. The study of education courses at Mon National College will enable aspired students to explore foundational education philosophies, theories and ever-evolving realities which have constantly shaped institutional policies and processes, and educational beliefs, behaviors and instructional practices. By motivating students to critically reflect on their own learning, teaching and management practices, our carefully structured course aim to provide a strong scaffolding to continuous personal and professional development for prospective educators.
Ultimately, students will develop essential skills to become effective and inclusive education professionals who are capable of driving positive change at individual, communal and societal levels. Students will also improve their twenty-first century skills and learning skills over the course of the study as they continue to progress throughout the years. We also work in collaboration with the Mon National Education Committee (MNEC)’s education department to develop tailored teacher training programs for teachers, teacher trainers and other personnels to improve the quality and inclusivity of education provision through Mon National Schools across Southeast Burma/Myanmar.
