Overview

The Community Leadership and Management Department at Mon National College offers a comprehensive program designed to equip Mon and other ethnic students with essential leadership and management skills, aligning with local, national, and international standards. The Community Leadership and Management (CLM) Course provides the foundation for an Associate Degree, focusing on key academic and professional skills such as leadership, management, community development theory, partnership building, and social work. These skills prepare students for roles as social workers, leaders, and managers at the local, regional, national, and global levels.

This program serves as an introductory learning experience in leadership and management, helping students to build a strong foundation that can be expanded upon through practical work or further education. Students are encouraged to continue their academic journey, using this course as a stepping stone to pursue Bachelor’s Degrees in fields such as community development, organizational development, business management, or organizational leadership at other universities and institutions. By combining practical skills with theoretical knowledge, the program ensures that graduates are well-prepared for leadership roles and future academic endeavors.
